Lifestyle Modification

I was feeling great, and maybe for the first time in my life, confident

I came to Amy with High Cholesterol, something I had never had before.  And if I’m being honest I had some belly gravy and love handles going on which I finally got tired of looking at.  She was great at listening at things I enjoyed and did not enjoy from a nutrition standpoint before starting a plan specifically for me.  She got me started on a program that I felt very comfortable with, that was important to me. I learned a lot from Amy and she was great to work with. She fine tuned things monthly which I appreciated.  After four months my cholesterol went down 75 points, waist was down about 5”, I was feeling great, and maybe for the first time in my life, confident.  I was finally at a point where I didn’t cringe when seeing myself in pictures at the beach, or from “bad angles.” That was a great feeling.  Also, very important to me, I wasn’t starving myself.  Amy made nutrition very fun and enjoyable, thank you very much.

Amy's guidance and approach was able to answer the MANY questions I had from the things I had heard about so many diets that seemed oddly complex.

What initially drew me to Amy Yeoman and Fuel to Thrive, was the fact that she has a Masters degree in this area. Like she explained to me, anyone can call themselves a nutrient expert, technically. As we spoke over the phone about my concerns, I could already tell that Amy was going to be a lot of help regarding the diet of my two young sons’ and I. My sons’ have suffered painful eczema breakouts since they were born, and no doctor has been able to truly help me figure out what to do about this skin disease. Other than, prescribing steroid ointment and recommending cutting out dairy or gluten, I’ve had absolutely no guidance on what that process entailed. I was tired putting a band aid on this problem. Regarding my personal diet and lifestyle, I knew I was not eating well. Due to the lack of energy I had daily, I was also not consuming enough nutrients in my meals to even think about adding a steady work-out routine to my life. We discussed how today’s articles, books, trends and fads concerning meals, have become so complex. Trying to do my own research and diet attempts made me feel confused about anything I ate. The solution to these issues were so simple for Amy. Her guidance and approach was so simple. She was able to answer the MANY questions I had from the things I had heard about so many diets that seemed oddly complex. I am still amazed with the results. Not only have my sons’ eczema gone away, I now have a better understanding on what specifically affects them from their diet. For myself, I have more energy, and a positive outlook of myself. Most importantly, I understand the simplicity of a balanced diet. I am very grateful for Amy Yeoman’s support and guidance!

Amy listened to my needs and listened attentively to my concerns. She and I worked TOGETHER to create small goals that I could work on at my own pace.

I’m a 50 year old Crossfit athlete. And I lived with an eating disorder for 35 years. After I got into recovery with my ED, I realized that my challenging relationship with food was not helping me fuel properly for my workouts and definitely not fueling my body’s recovery afterward. I tentatively attended a workshop that Amy gave at my Crossfit affiliate, and after hearing her speak about the very simple basics of fueling your body, I knew I could learn comfortably from her. Amy listened to my needs and listened attentively to my concerns. She and I worked TOGETHER to create small goals that I could work on at my own pace. She gathered feedback at every meeting and adjusted my plan accordingly. She helped me re-learn about what my body NEEDS to perform in my daily life and during my workouts. She made sure that I understood what she was teaching and how to apply it. And through all of it, she was incredibly supportive and always available for questions or even a pep talk if needed. Amy is very knowledgeable, realistic and easy to work with and I would HIGHLY recommend her for ANY type of nutrition assistance you are looking for. She is highly capable of meeting the needs whether you are a beginner, a weekend athlete, a competitor, or a 50 year old who needed to re-learn the basics.

Amy has a very holistic approach to food, and she wants her clients to thrive.

I loved working with Amy to improve my eating habits. She is extremely knowledgeable, and she truly cares about her clients. She takes the time to evaluate a person’s diet down to the tiniest of nutrients, and then she suggests way to improve from there. She listened to my goals and provided tools that I use every day. She has a very wholistic approach to food, and she wants her clients to thrive. Thanks, Amy!
